A Hungry Neko chapter 1

Hiro lets out a small groan as he shifts around on his couch, searching his packet of biscuits for any remains. 'I can't believe that ones gone too...' He sighs before pushing it aside, it being the third one he had eaten in the vain attempt of satisfying his hunger. Hiro was a pretty large neko, his chubby belly spread out on his lap as he sat down, and his thighs almost glued to eachother as he walked. His face was pretty puffy too, not that he was actually proud of all that. Last time Hiro checked, he was about 275 lbs. On a neko like him, he did have some troubles at hiding how soft all that weight had made him, but he gave up all that shyness a while ago.

Hiro wasn't always this large, when he was a younger kitten he had always been quite pudgy, but never to the point where he was at now. His hair was a little messy and brown, and his eyes were honey coloured. In all honesty, Hiro was very attractive! All he had were a few extra pounds to come in with it.

Hiro remembered that he had to have a shower but he did not feel like it at all specially with how hard it was to clean himself. Rubbing soap through all his rolls was just too hard and quite tiring, but he knew he had to do it. 'Mmh, I'll get that done after I have a little snack. Let's see what we have here...' He says before opening his fridge and rolling his eyes at the pratically empty shelves. One of the few things he had left caught his eye though 'Oh, atleast I still have some milk.' He grabs the milk and closes the fridge, returning to his favourite spot on his couch. He popped off the cap and started to drink it, the smooth liquid feeling really nice on his awaiting taste buds. Right as he finished off the remaining milk in the carton, his padded hand reached out to his phone, dialing his favourite pizza place. He didn't actually think that there would be any problem in ordering his dinner early, specially since the thought of two familiar sized pizzas made him quite hungry.
A few minutes after the call ended, the doorbell rang. Hiro's dark brown ears perked up and he turned to the door 'No way it could be the pizza already...' Walking his way over to the front door of his apartment, he opened it not really knowing what to expect. 'Hiiiiiro!!!' said a voice before a thin neko came in and hugged Hiro tight, just around his tummy. 'A-ah.... Meru... Why did you come here?...' Hiro asked before blushing slightly, the other neko seeming to be extremely happy to see him.

'I just wanted to be with you Hiro!' Meru said as he looked up at Hiro with his pure blue eyes. 'I missed you...'

Hiro felt flattered yet a little confused because he didn't expect his friend to come visit. He slightly rubbed Meru's black ears and smiled 'If you like you could stay over for dinner I guess... I ordered pizza...' Hiro said, not knowing if he should feel ashamed or not.

Meru never actually judged him even though sometimes Hiro didn't seem to control himself in front of him. He never understood why Meru was so kind but he was glad that he didn't get negative attention because of his eating habits. It was always a fresh breath of air being around someone like that! Well, atleast when he wasn't suffocating between Meru's excessive hugs.

'Oh!! That seems nice Hiro~!' Meru says in quite an excited tone, his tail swaying in contentment. 'Buuut... Isn't it early for dinner?' Meru tilts his head curiously.


'Well... Uhm... I guess I was just kinda hungry...' Hiro looks away, feeling a little embarassed about it. 'I could notice that!' Meru picks up the recently finished box of biscuits and showed it to Hiro, looking at him with an innocent look, making Hiro feel even more uncomfortable.

'Don't worry though!' Meru quickly jumped at Hiro again, wrapping his arms around him. 'If Hiro feels hungry then I have to help! It's okay if you feel hungry... the weather hmm... it's... it's hot? Yes! It's hot so it makes you hungrier, it's normal!!' The younger neko tried lying, to comfort his bigger friend.

Hiro's stomach let out a small growl and he felt like things were simply getting ridiculous, receiving an affirming smile from Meru. 'I just tend to get pretty hungry around here, since I never do much my mind likes worrying about food. But I try to not eat as much!! I know how I was the only person asking for thirds or more at school... I'm being better now, I promise!!'

Meru couldn't help but giggle as his friend struggled to accept that he had quite a big appetite 'Its okay, it's okay! I have always liked seeing Hiro eat... You're always so happy when you do!' he says in a playful tone, not really realising how silly what he just said was. He approached Hiro and gently rubbed his large belly, faintly purring as he did so 'I think that I just missed Hiro though...'

Both Hiro and Meru were cut out of their moment when the doorbell rang, their ears perking up at the sound. Hiro got up and headed to the door, smiling and thinking to himself 'Dinner!!! It's finally time for dinner!!'
